Discover the ocean’s underwater world with our fun\, interactive spaces and activities that indulge curiosity.  \nOur sharks and rays are more active at night\, making this a great opportunity to see them in action! At the end of the night\, guests will be able to watch an exciting shark feeding session! \nBeer\, wine\, and Mission cocktails will be available for purchase\, along with fare from Taste Collective and live music! \nTonight\, we will also be joined by our friends at PyroFarms and Shark Stewards! PyroFarms\, based in San Diego\, brings bioluninescence to life through their collection of dinoflagellates. Shark Stewards is an international non-profit that focuses on saving sharks and their habitats. She specializes in Conservation Medicine with a focus on Aquatics and has a particular interest in elasmobranchs\, teleosts and invertebrates. Her elasmobranch research focuses on health assessments of in situ populations and stress physiology. Dr. Newton received her veterinary degree and anatomic pathology training from the University of Pennsylvania\, School of Veterinary Medicine and following her pathology residency completed the Jane and Marshall Steel Pathology Fellowship at the Zoological Society of San Diego. She was Head of  \nAquatic Health for the WIldlife Conservation Society from 2014 – 2020\, and was a Veterinary Pathologist for Disney’s Animals\, Science and Environment from 2020 – 2022.
