Description:

Join us for our LIVE House for Hermit Crab Virtual Field Trip! Students will explore the various habitat tanks and the animals that live in them. We will match various animals to the habitats they live in and how they are adapted to live there. Next, we will discuss what an exoskeleton is and why various sea animals have one. After, students will help us match, count and graph sea shells based on size and shape to see what is most popular. At the end we will have time for the students to ask an Ocean Institute team member questions!

More Information:

The trip will begin with a short story that an Ocean Institute team member will read. It is not required for the class to have read the book before nor for the teacher to have the book on hand.

Each field trip is 1-hour in length and allows 50 participants, this is including teacher(s) and students. Teachers are able to pick the date and the time of the program desired.
