Adopt-A-Class was founded by the Board twenty-two years ago to enable underserved students from primarily Title I schools in low-income communities to visit the Ocean Institute for no fee. To this day, generous sponsors provide unique opportunities for hands-on, out of the classroom learning, which broadens horizons and opens new pathways to successful futures. Join us and help create tomorrow’s leaders today!

Our Adopt-A-Class program enables underserved students from Title I schools across California, to visit the Ocean Institute for hands-on STEM education. The Adopt-A-Class program is crucial to give these students the opportunity to take their learning beyond the classroom. The program is truly life-changing for these students, as many have never seen the ocean, or been on a boat before.
