Introducing our newly redesigned Community Partners Circle (CPC)

Becoming a Community Partner Circle Member at Ocean Institute means you are helping support the next generation of scientific leaders, researchers, and stewards of our planet. Funds donated to Ocean Institute go to supporting our world-class educational programs as well as the outreach programs Ocean Institute commits to, such as our Adopt-A-Class Program, that are geared to eliminate the financial barriers students may have in attending our programs. Your support encourages the inspiration of children and their families to act in stewardship, so our planet regains a healthy balance.

In appreciation, we have a plethora of opportunities where we want you and your company to become involved. All Community Partner Circle members will be placed on a CPC-Specific newsletter, where you will be the first to hear about sponsor opportunities and to receive early access to programs, festivals, VIP events, and more.

Ocean Institute’s Associate Board of Directors

The purpose of the Associate Board of Directors is to support and engage early/mid-career professionals in a pathway toward Board of Director participation at the Ocean Institute or other non-profits. In addition to gaining insights and skills related to board participation, members will apply their own expertise and skills to support the mission of Ocean Institute, “Using the Ocean as Our Classroom We Inspire Children to Learn”. Our Associate Board of Directors is instrumental in helping with brainstorming, fundraising, and events with Ocean Institute.

Associate Board of Directors Membership Benefits:

About Us:

The Ocean Institute, founded in 1977, is a community-based 501(c)(3) organization that educates 100,000 children, teachers, parents, and visitors annually through over 60 marine science and maritime history programs. We are located on 2.4 acres in the Dana Point Harbor; adjacent to a Marine Life Conservation Area. The facility is an ocean education center that offers in-depth Marine Science, Maritime History and Outdoor Education programs.
