Kayak Tours
Saturdays | 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Join the Ocean Institute for a two-hour interactive kayak tour around the Dana Point harbor. One of our expert naturalists will teach you about the harbor’s history and unique ecosystem. All experience levels are welcome. An adult must accompany guests under 16.
Sharks After Dark

Take a deep dive and explore our local sharks and their surrounding environments at Sharks After Dark! Discover the ocean’s underwater world with our fun, interactive spaces and activities that indulge curiosity.
Our sharks and rays are more active at night, making this a great opportunity to see them in action! At the end of the night, guests will be able to watch an exciting shark feeding session!
Beer, wine, and Mission cocktails will be available for purchase, along with fare from Taste Collective and live music!
Guided Snorkel Tours
Thurs/Fri/Sun | 9:00 am – 10:30 am
Join our semi-private guided snorkel tours and explore the stunning marine life of Shaw’s Cove! Enjoy 45 minutes in the water as our guide introduces you to the beauty of Southern California’s kelp forests and their marine life. All gear provided—just bring your sense of adventure!
Bioluminescence Night Cruise

There’s a luminous underwater world just waiting to shine! Learn about the remarkable ability of some marine animals to glow in the dark and witness this curiously beautiful phenomenon. Come aboard the R/V Sea Explorer and join us off the coast of Dana Point at night to explore the nocturnal world of marine birds, sea lions, and bioluminescent plankton.
