Meeting ProTECTOR, Inc., International Sea Turtle Research in 2022
Description:
The Protective Turtle Ecology Center for Training, Outreach, and Research, Inc. was established in 2007 as a California-based Non-Profit 501(C)(3) organization to facilitate the establishment of sea turtle research in Honduras, when there was essentially no public information on the status and plight of sea turtles in the country. Through consistent research and conservation efforts, ProTECTOR, Inc. has not only elevated knowledge of sea turtles in Honduras, but has expanded into an international sea turtle conservation research organization. In this presentation, ProTECTOR, Inc. Founder and President, Dr. Stephen Dunbar, will introduce attendees to the organization, and how sea turtle conservation research is making a difference in policy, outreach, and the potential for recovering turtle populations around the world.
